Tampon storage. There are generally two options: knocking about in your bag among the old receipts, Pret napkins and other random rubbish, or in an excruciatingly pretty little purse designed specifically to hide any trace of the fact a woman might be caught doing something as embarrassing as having a period.

Now a website has come up with something that will not only keep them all tidily in one place, but is as far from hiding them in an adorable chintzy little pouch as possible: loud, proud tins declaring ‘THERE WILL BE BLOOD’.

You can't say they're not accurate sells four tins in total, at £10 each, including ‘blood sweat tears’ and ‘life's little bleeding luxury’, referencing the fact that tampons are still classed as luxury items in this country and thus taxed.

Sick of the “old-fashioned” options designed to disguise our terrible bloody secret, creator Lizzie Earl decided to come up with something a bit different, saying: “I was feeling a bit girl power and thought, ‘Why should the only solution be to hide the fact we carry tampons around? We should tell it like it is,’ and so this project was born.”

This is very true

As well as making a refreshing change, the tins also help provide sanitary products to those in need as 15% of proceeds go to St Mungo's Broadway in the UK and Hong Kong charity Sunshine Action.

The tins can store non-applicator tampons, compact applicator tampons and mooncups, and can be bought here.
