Behind every flawless photo on Instagram is a partner patiently standing with their arms suspended in the air and a smartphone in their hand.
That's the concept behind a tongue-in-cheek video titled "Instagram husband" that's been viewed more than 2.4 million times in just two days.
The video by American comedy channel The Mystery Hour, interviews three men on the pressures of being the hands behind Instagram's perfect picture culture.
"I've had to delete all the apps off my phone just to make more room for more photos," says one. "I'm basically a human selfie stick."
"There are many Instagram Husbands out there, and we want you to know that you are not alone," reads the video description.
They've even created a website - InstagramHusband.com - which features testimonies of "real life" partners struggling with the demands of their photo-sharing spouses.
“We used to take streets to get places, now it’s alleys, only alleys, so many alleys,” writes one.
“Sometimes I want to cry at night, but then I remember the brunch pictures I have to be in in the morning,” adds another.
