We’ve whipped up a guide to all of the abbreviations in the show for those at home, but we weren’t about to let McClure off the hook so easily. We tested the actor, not only on some of Line of Duty’s most difficult acronyms, but threw some social media slang in there too just to confuse her. Aren’t we mean?

When it came to the basics McClure didn’t let herself down, answering D.C.I as detective constable inspector correctly.

And then there were some slightly less technical terms, such as F.O.M.O. “Fear of missing out? I get that quite a lot. Because I do like to stay in and then I see everyone out and then I go ‘ah maybe I should have gone.’ But I’m usually in my PJs,” says McClure.

Although she might have started off well, when it came to A.R.U (which is actually armed response unit), McClure was absolutely stumped. “No idea, have I said that?”
