Muslim women are taking to Twitter to dispel the passive and timid stereotype that surrounds them, after David Cameron allegedly made a remark on the "traditional submissiveness" of Muslim women.

It's not exactly clear what the Prime Minister said in the private conversation, but it is thought the comments were made in relation to the English language test the government announced this week.

With the news that 22% of Muslim women living in the country speak little or no English, David Cameron said on Monday that they will be tested on their English skills to ensure they are less isolated in society and less susceptible to terrorist messages.

Frustrated by the leader's generalisation of Muslim women, a number took to Twitter to post pictures of themselves listing their qualifications, achievements and the number of languages they can speak.
