What great photography looks like

Published

We may all be enthralled by photo filter apps like Instagram and Hipstamatic, but a new exhibition promises to remind us what great photography looks like.

The Sony World Photography Awards exhibition showcases the best of over 112,000 competition entries from 171 countries. Opening at Somerset House in London on April 27 until May 20, the show features extraordinary photographs covering a wide range of subjects – from photojournalism and documentary to fashion, wildlife and travel. Be inspired by some of our favourites below – no iPhone app required.
