From London to Toronto, Hong Kong and Sydney, a new survey delving into international dating habits claims to have found the best city in the world for single women.

Dating app Coffee Meets Bagel is described by its founders, three sisters from New York City, as the anti-Tinder.

It polled over 7,000 of its members to discover where in the world all the decent daters have gone.

And the answer? It’s complicated.

Women living in Sydney have reported having a much easier time of it on the dating scene (we assume this means greater success meeting nice, funny people), compared with those living in Toronto or New York, for example.

But among the men daters polled, apparently Hong Kong is the best place to meet a match.
