Women have many accomplishments in sight this year, but there is one that’s high on our list…

From ‘leaning in’ to finding a brilliant mentor, you’d be forgiven for thinking that women believe their greatest goals in 2018 are confined within their careers.

Thankfully, we’ve got a lot of accomplishments firmly in our sights. According to a survey of 2,000 British women by My Nametags, not only do we want a well-paid job but we also want to feel content living on our own.

While achieving financial security (54%) and being happy (49%) are obvious priorities for people, there was one personal goal that stood out: women helping other women. That’s right, 39% of women surveyed believe empowering other women is a great accomplishment.

Enter one well-loved quote: “There’s a special place in hell for women who don’t help any other women.”

Coined decades ago by US politician Madeleine Albright, it has been tweeted, shared and liked by many a woman of today.

So, here are a few more uplifting quotes from trailblazing women, who’ve made it their mantra to help other women.

Hillary Clinton

“To all the little girls who are watching, never doubt that you are valuable and powerful and deserving of every chance and opportunity in the world to pursue and achieve your own dreams.”

Gloria Steinem

“When women support each other, incredible things happen.”

Malala Yousafzai

“I want to change the political system so there is justice and equality and change in the status of girls and women.”

Audre Lorde

“I am not free while any women is unfree, even when her shackles are very different from my own.”

Michelle Obama

“As women, we must stand up for ourselves, for each other, for justice for all.”
