A Chinese woman who was kidnapped and forced to marry an older man when she was 20 years old, now wears a wedding dress every day after breaking free and marrying the man she loves.
Xiang Junfeng was kidnapped when she was 20 from her hometown and sold to a remote village to be the wife of an elderly man.
But there was a happy ending for Xiang. While she remained there for 15 years, she was then helped by a kind woman, who gave her the courage to runaway. The same woman introduced Xiang to her brother, and later on Xiang and the brother married.
Xiang, 47, said: "We felt comfortable with each other, so we have been together since then. I am very happy now, as my husband is very good to me".
Now Xiang has four wedding gowns to wear in each of the four seasons. While she bought one of them, she appears to be very a nifty sewer and managed to create three others too.
The woman is now known as "Sister Wedding Gowns" to locals in Jimo, which is part of northern China's Shandong Province.
However, Xiang currently can't register her marriage officially because she doesn't have the correct paperwork from her first marriage.
That said, the local police station said they are thinking of helping Xiang become registered.
