World Cup 2018: the best England vs Croatia memes you need to see before kick-off

Here’s our pick of the best World Cup reactions, memes and tweets ahead of the England vs Croatia game.

Tonight, England face Croatia – which means that, yes, Gareth Southgate’s team are one match away from the World Cup final.

This is, to put it lightly, a huge deal: to date, England has only ever reached the final once – and that was 52 years ago. So it makes sense that millions of expectant viewers (some long-time footie fans, some simply caught up in all the excitement) will be glued to their TV screens when the match kicks off at 7pm BST.

Pints will be spilled, songs will be sung, expletives will be dropped and tears will no doubt be shed – whatever the result. But, while you may be nervous, excited, and/or already loudly singing It’s Coming Home, there really is only one way to celebrate England’s date with destiny (and our best World Cup run since 1990).

We are, of course, talking about the plethora of brilliant #ItsComingHome memes sweeping the internet, of course. Here, we share our pick of the best and funniest.
