Amy Schumer has, just hours after the tabloids got wind of her secret wedding, confirmed the news by dropping an entire wedding album on Instagram…
Amy Schumer is the queen of keeping things low-key: the comedian confirmed that she’s dating famous chef Chris Fischer on 11 February with a black-and-white picture (which the couple snapped in the photobooth at Ellen DeGeneres’ 60th birthday bash).
Then, literally two days later, they were married.
According to US Weekly, the ceremony took place in a private Californian beach house, where Schumer and Fischer said their nuptials sea-side. It was an on-the-fly event.
And, according to the same publication, Schumer invited most people via text.
An insider claimed: “It was a very chill wedding. It was thrown together last minute. Most of the guests found out the wedding was happening on Tuesday from a text message sent out by Amy on Sunday.
“It was like, ‘Hey, this is happening. If you can make it, great. If not, no worries.’ People were in and out all night. It was a gorgeous day. Everyone was having a good time.”
Now, confirming the news herself, Schumer has basically dropped an entire wedding album on Instagram.
She simply captioned the pictures: “Yup.”

All it takes is a quick click through the photos to get the details: Schumer opted for an effortlessly delicate wedding dress, and her dog Tati was one of two dogs to walk down the aisle.
The bridesmaids (which included her sister, obviously) wore pink gowns with flowers in their hair. Her bouquet was a classic bundle of white and pale pink roses. She wore her hair curled and up.
And, perhaps most importantly of all, the photos confirm that Schumer’s BFF Jennifer Lawrence was, of course, in attendance. You can see her sitting in a prime spot in the second row during the ceremony, and there’s an extra-special photo of the besties against the sea-front, too.
Soon after posting her initial wedding photos, she also posted an image stating she wasn’t pregnant and that she didn’t want wedding gifts, only donations to a charity organisation of her choice.
Everytown for Gun Violence is a movement of Americans working to end gun violence and build safer communities comes.
Schumer’s call for donations comes just days after 19-year-old Nikolas Cruz walked onto the campus of Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida and opened fire with a semi-automatic rifle.
At least 17 people are known to have died, making the attack the deadliest school shooting since 2012, when 26 people were killed at Sandy Hook school in Connecticut.
It is at least the 18th school shooting to take place in the US in 2018.
