Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have released their first joint statement since they sensationally split in September.

The estranged couple are thrashing out the terms of their divorce amid a fierce custody battle over their six children and have now reached an agreement to keep details of the split under wraps from now on by using a private judge.

“The parties and their counsel have signed agreements to preserve the privacy rights of their children and family by keeping all court documents confidential and engaging a private judge to make any necessary legal decisions and to facilitate the expeditious resolution of any remaining issues,” their statement read.

“The parents are committed to act as a united front to effectuate recovery and reunification.”

Jolie, 41, filed for divorce from the 53-year-old Word War Z actor after 12 years together citing “irreconcilable differences” and issued a statement through her rep declaring the decision was “made for the health of the family.”

The Maleficent star applied for and was granted full temporary custody of their children Maddox, 15, Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10 and eight-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne.
