Anna Kendrick's new show is called Love Life

Anna Kendrick’s new series looks set to add to the wealth of good rom coms we’ve recently been gifted.

The romantic comedy has been undergoing something of a renaissance, and a rehaul, in recent months.

The rom com’s heyday was arguably in the Nineties and early 2000s, with classics such as When Harry Met Sally, Sleepless in Seattle, Clueless, 10 Things I Hate About You and numerous others capturing our hearts.

But since then, the rom com has been struggling. At least until recently, when we got such gems as To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, Crazy Rich Asians and Set It Up.

And now, we can add a television show to that mix, in the form of Love Life.

The 10-episode half-hour romantic comedy anthology series will star Anna Kendrick, who will also executive produce, reported Deadline.

The series is about the “journey from first love to last love, and how the people we’re with along the way make us into who we are when we finally end up with someone forever”.

Each episode of the show will tell the story of a different romantic relationship for the protagonist, reported TVLine.

The series is being produced for WarnerMedia’s forthcoming streaming service, and is from Lionsgate TV and Bridesmaids’ director Paul Feig’s Feigco Entertainment.

Whether your love life is full of excitement or taking a break, we think Love Life is going to continue fuelling our love of rom coms.
