Victoria and David Beckham and the clan take a day out punting in Cambridge

Published

The Beckham family rarely needs a reason to jet off to LA for a getaway, but this weekend they swapped the Hollywood hills for the River Cam, to go punting in Cambridge.

David, Victoria, Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz and little Harper were joined by Victoria’s parents Tony and Jackie Adams, plus VB's younger sister Louise, to embrace one of the British summertime’s longest standing traditions.

The gang even stopped off at Cambridge University, where Brooklyn, 16, had the chance to meet theoretical physicist Stephen Hawking, befriended by David two weeks ago at an event hosted by Google.

Naturally, Victoria was dressed impeccably for her stint on the water in black leather leggings, a chic black jacket and shades, while the boys followed David’s lead all donning jeans and caps.

Though Victoria continues to show her new collections at New York Fashion Week (for the time being at least), the Beckhams have made London’s Holland Park their permanent residence since David retired from professional football back in 2012.

And if this weekend is anything to go by, it appears they still love being back in Britain full time.

Take a look at the pictures from the Beckham's family day out below.
