It’s probably quite difficult buying Beyoncé a birthday present, what with her being a ridiculously successful recording artist and generally acknowledged queen of the world and all.

Still, as a friend or family member of the singer, you’d want to mark her recent 36th birthday in some way, right? So her friends and family did what any friend or family member of an internationally renowned megastar would do – they thought outside the box.

And so it is that we can present to you the likes of former White House residents, girl band singers and tennis aces dressed up as Bey herself.

Yep, that’s former First Lady Michelle Obama, Destiny’s Child alum Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams, and sports pro Serena Williams – as well as Beyoncé’s daughter with Jay-Z, Blue Ivy Carter – all dressed up as the singer, Formation-style.

Again, yep, that would be former First Lady Michelle Obama dressing up as one of your favourite singers.

The results were posted on Beyoncé’s website, beyonce.com.

Angie Beyince is the star’s cousin and part of team Bey at Parkwood Entertainment, while Bianca Lawson is the actor daughter of Richard Lawson, married to Beyoncé’s mother Tina Knowles.

Of course, everyone loved the Obama appearance.

However, as those such as buzzfeed.com pointed out, perhaps we shouldn’t be surprised – they’ve known each other since at least 2008, when the star performed at Barack Obama’s inauguration.

Others who took part in the birthday photo shoot include Jay-Z’s mother Gloria Carter, singer Chloe Bailey and Jay-Z’s grandmother Hattie White, and an intro to the page urges fans to support those in need following the storms in Texas.

The full line-up can be found at beyonce.com.
