The footage shows the future superstar dancing and singing with her first hip-hop group, Girls Tyme, the original incarnation of the band that later became the world-famous Destiny’s Child. Beyoncé is flanked by lifelong best friend and fellow member, Kelly Rowland, both aged 10 at the time.

The professionally shot clips - which also depict Beyoncé visiting a shopping centre alongside bandmate LaTavia Roberson and live covers of several songs, including Fatboy Slim’s Talkin Bout My Baby - have never been released for public viewing - until now. Fans may recognise Girls Tyme from an interlude on the singer’s eponymous 2013 album, where audio of the group’s unsuccessful stint on talent show Star Search was used to precede her song ***Flawless.

There has been no indication of the value of the tapes or the price they’re expected to fetch, but it’s safe to assume, it won’t be cheap. For those wishing to try their luck, the auction is open through Ted Owen & Co’s website until 7pm on 13 March.
