Earlier this week, Blake Lively deleted every single photo on her Instagram account and edited her profile to ensure that it now only follows 24 people, all of whom are women named ‘Emily Nelson’.

Which means that, yes, she’s no longer following her husband, Deadpool’s Ryan Reynolds.

Of course, there was no sinister motive behind this: in fact, the Instagram purge was all part of a promotional campaign for Lively’s upcoming movie, A Simple Favour. However, the incident was still brought up during an interview with Australian radio show, Smallzy – and Reynolds, who has form for his pithy comebacks, decided to use the opportunity to showcase his trademark wit.

“I’m very sad about that,” he said, when asked how it had felt to be unfollowed by his wife. “It definitely stinks.”

Then, poking fun at the inevitable split rumours, the actor added: “It’s a terrible way to find out that I’ve been kicked out of the house, to be honest. Absolutely terrible. I don’t know where rage like that comes from.”
