Blake Lively stuns in adaptation of Nicolas Sparks' 'The Age of Adaline'

Published

The new extended trailer of Nicholas Sparks' romantic fantasy novel The Age of Adaline is out and it sees Blake Lively in the lead role, donning an array of period dress.

Lively plays Adaline Bowman, a 29-year-old who suffers a near-fatal accident in the 1930s that miraculously renders her immortal.

As a woman who doesn't age, she embarks on an isolated journey, watching her own daughter grow old and being continually forced to cut ties with any new relationships she strikes up.

The new trailer sees the actress in multiple period looks from the pin curls of the 1930s to a thick fringe and a retro headband of 60s, up until present day where the majority of the film is set.

She stars alongside Game of Thrones actor Michiel Huisman who plays Ellis, her love interest in the present day, and his father played by Harrison Ford who recognises Adaline from a distant pass.

The Age of Adaline is expected to release in the UK on 1 May 2015. Watch the trailer below.
