Brad Pitt apparently took a blow to the face at the Hollywood premiere of Angelina Jolie's new film Maleficent last night, The Telegraph reported
The alleged attack was carried out by serial prankster Vitalii Sediuk, who struck earlier this month in Cannes when he attempted to get under America Ferrera's gown at the premiere of How to Train Your Dragon 2.
According to the newspaper, witnesses saw Sediuk jump over a barrier to the red carpet at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood.
It is believed he made contact with the star, who was at the event with the whole Jolie-Pitt clan, before security guards wrestled him down and called police.
Sediuk was pictured being led away from the scene in handcuffs, while the 50-year-old actor dusted himself off and got on with signing autographs.
According to TMZ, the man is being detained by LAPD and is expected to be booked for misdemeanour battery.
Pitt was later seen laughing about the incident, according to reports.

VITALI SEDIUK STRIKES AGAIN
Earlier this month, the Ukrainian journalist streaked through the Met Gala in a pink string bikini and in the past he has tried crotch-grabbing Hollywood heartthrobs Bradley Cooper and Leonardo DiCaprio on the red carpet.
The celebrity pest was famously slapped by Will Smith when he tried to kiss him at a premiere.
Vitali is already banned from LA's Nokia Theater for gate-crashing Adele‘s Grammy acceptance speech at the Grammys and we've got a feeling it's not the last place in Tinseltown he'll be turned away from in the future.
