As more women continue to bravely come forward to share their own stories of Harvey Weinstein’s misconduct, the list of sexual harassment and assault allegations against him grows steadily longer.

But, as it turns out, one actress actually warned the world about Harvey Weinstein over a decade ago.

During a 2005 video interview with TMZ (which has since been liked and retweeted on Twitter thousands of times), Courtney Love can be heard warning young women against the disgraced movie producer.

“Do you have any advice for a young girl moving to Hollywood?,” the reporter asks Love.

“Erm, I’ll get libelled if I say it,” the actressresponds – before bravely deciding to speak up.

“If Harvey Weinstein invites you to a private party in the Four Seasons, don’t go.”

It is worth pointing out, at this point, that nany of the women’s allegations against Weinstein share a common thread: they all involvd being invited back to his hotel room or private party.

Love has since taken to Twitter to respond to the video, saying: “Although I wasn't one of his victims, I was eternally banned by CAA for speaking out against Harvey Weinstein.”

This is not the first video to suggest that Weinstein’s alleged behaviour has been something of an “open secret” in Hollywood.

Back in 2012, Tina Fey’s TV show, 30 Rock, hinted at Weinstein’s predatory nature when Jane Krakowski’s character says: “I’m not afraid of anyone in show business, I turned down intercourse with Harvey Weinstein on no less than three occasions… out of five.”

Later on in the same episode, she says: “In some ways, I’m still pinned under a passed-out Harvey Weinstein, and it’s Thanksgiving.”

Last week, Weinstein issued an apology and reiterated that he is going to seek therapy.

In a statement, he said: “I appreciate the way I’ve behaved with colleagues in the past has caused a lot of pain, and I sincerely apologise for it. Though I’m trying to do better, I know I have a long way to go.”
