As if they weren’t already the coolest kids around: A 12-year-old girl who can rock a buzz cut a la Ruth Bell (Milly Bobby Brown), a 14-year-old boy who can speak out publicly about their personal health problems (Gaten Matarazzo) and a supporting child actor that can outshine the central characters (Caleb McLaughlin).
The cast of Netflix hit Stranger Things have sky rocketed to fame. Not only are they adorable and cool, they’re talented actors and, it turns out, singers and dancers, too.
While stars were filing into the Emmys ceremony this weekend, the three cast members went up on stage and performed their own version of Bruno Mars’ Uptown Funk.
The stars all revealed their impressive vocal skills and smooth dance moves, revealing the soul-destroying truth that they’re cooler as teenagers than we will ever be.
Sadly, the performance wasn’t televised but thanks to the digital age, we can see some of the performance via videos filmed on people’s mobile phones.
But it turns out this wasn’t their first time. Milly Bobby Brown, who plays the telekinetic Eleven, has her own singing YouTUbe channel, Caleb McLaughlin who plays the cynical Lucas once played Simba in The Lion King on Broadway, and Gaten Matazarro who plays the loyal Dustin was also on Broadway, in Les Misérables.
After their performance, the actors handed out sandwiches dresses as their characters from the show. Just when we thought we couldn’t love them any more.
Season Two of Stranger Things returns next year.
