Adorned in an iconic cape and redefining the little black dress, Van Ness took the VMA’s red carpet by storm – and the meeting with Turner seemed to be the icing on the top of the cake.

After the initial screams and introductions, Van Ness went in for a second hug with Turner, adding: “I love you! I’m obsessed. Congratulations on your gorgeous summer. I think you’re incredible,” in reference to Turner’s wedding to Joe Jonas.

In some miraculously perfect timing, Jonas then appears – and of course, Turner was pretty excited to introduce him to her new friend. “You have to meet Joe! You haven’t met Joe yet,” she says.
