Fifty Shades of Grey star Jamie Dornan has put his Cotswolds cottage up for sale, and as you might imagine, it's gathering a lot of interest.
The Grade II listed country pad, known as Silva Cottage, is just a mile away from Prince Charles’ Highgrove mansion, and up until now has served as a family bolthole – they also own a townhouse in Notting Hill - for the actor, his wife Amelia and their one-year-old daughter Dulcie.
There’s been no comment as to why Dornan is now saying farewell to the cottage - many suspect an increased work load means they just can't escape to the country as often as they'd like - but we can certainly see why he fell in love with it in the first place.
Unspoilt views of the rolling countryside, an enormous garden and a fireplace we just need to read books next to? Come take a closer look inside…
Described by the property listing as a key feature, the incredible garden is spread over four tiers with huge open lawns, paths that wind through endless rows of trees, and plenty of fresh flowers we can see ourselves arranging terribly in a vase for the kitchen table.
Built in the 1850s, the cottage has managed to keep plenty of its original features, including exposed timber beams that give the whole place the cosy feeling of The Holiday. A huge stone fireplace plays centre stage in the living room, while the appropriately painted grey dining room opens into a kitchen full of mod-cons. Add on the three bedrooms, and there you have the perfect getaway cottage.
Did we mention the incredible view? Our city-trained eyes almost don't know what to do with all that open green space. The cottage looks out over breathtaking countryside, along with the small village of Westonbirt.
