"It's not good for relationships to tell men what to do", Lady Gaga on submitting to her boyfriend

Pop star Lady Gaga has said she plays the submissive role in her relationship with American actor Taylor Kinney, in an interview with American radio station Sirius XM.

The music artist said, "Oh yeah, he's [Kinney], like, totally in charge. When I'm home I'm, like, shoes are off, I'm making him dinner, you know? He has a job, too, and he's really busy."

"I'm in charge all day long," Gaga continued. "The last thing I want to do is tell him what to do. We're just really good friends."

She also added some words of advice: "It's not good for relationships to tell men what to do, female listeners who are out there."

Gaga, 27, has been dating Kinney, 32, since 2011. The American actor has starred in The Vampire Diaries and currently acts in TV series Chicago Fire.

They have both commented on how their relationship "works" because of their many similarities outside of the spotlight.

"I'm reserved. She's not," said Kinney to E! News at the Golden Globe Awards in January. "For whatever reason, it works. It works and that's that."

Last year, Gaga spoke about how she and Kinney complement each other's "weirdness" on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

"He's a hidden weirdo," she said. "He is extremely strange, actually, and we complement each other's weirdness."

Gaga also recalled the first time she met her beau, on the set of the You and I video.

"I looked ridiculously crazy," she continued. "I've got these pins sticking out of my heard and I'm wearing cork and I got no hair and I'm bald. And I mean, why he found me attractive just completely (baffles) me."

"At the end of the day he's my best friend, and having your lover be your best friend, I mean, it's the best thing ever. It's the best thing I can say about it."
