Jack Whitehall did his best to entertain viewers at last night’s Brits, but he seriously missed the mark when talking about one of the UK’s biggest female groups of all time. And his comment about Little Mix has now become the most complained about moment of the awards ceremony.

Little Mix performed an incredible version of their hit, Woman Like Me, which celebrates the intricacies of being female.

Instead of appreciating their musical talent or commenting on the meaning behind the song, Whitehall’s joke reduced the performance to a sexual spectacle to entertain dads watching at home.

Whitehall said: “Dads up and down the country awkwardly fumbling for a scatter cushion right now,” straight after the knock out rendition.

And the public was not impressed.

Ofcom told stylist.co.uk that the regulator received 25 complaints about Whitehall’s comment, making this the most complained about moment of the night. A spokesperson added: “We will assess these complaints before deciding whether or not to investigate.”
