Jessica Simpson has confirmed that is expecting her first child with fiance Eric Johnson.
The 31-year-old broadcast the news in a statement on her website jessicasimpson.com yesterday (31 October).
"It's true, I'm going to be a mummy!" she wrote, alongside a photo of her in a Halloween costume cradling a noticeable baby bump (below).
The annoucement follows weeks of frenzied media speculation.
"The Mommy-to-be is feeling great," a source told Access Hollywood. "And daddy Eric is incredibly excited!"
Jessica and former NFL player Eric (above, second photo) began dating in May last year. Eric proposed in November, although a date has not yet been set for the wedding.
"Every day is a romantic day with him," Jessica said in December. "I'm very blessed."
