Actress Kate Hudson can now add 'Can do incredible Matthew McConaughey impression' to her CV, after she did the most amazing imitation of the actor at the American Cinematheque gala on Tuesday, which was honouring the Dallas Buyers Club star.
In the tribute, Kate began to explain that on the set of 2008's Fool's Gold (in which a married couple look for treasure) she had to get her scuba diving certificate and was frightened of getting in the water because she was terrified of swimming with sharks.
Not only that she'd just got her divorce finalised (from The Black Crowes singer Chris Robinson) and was feeling nervous about heading into the Great Barrier Reef. But Matthew was there to cajole her into the water with a few simple words.
In her speech, the actress says how Matthew pops out of the water "no shirt, full gear," and said to her [adopts Matthew McConaughey drawl]:
"Come on Hudson, let's go baby. Uh huh. Mmm, babe, it's like 1969 down there baby. It's Woodstock."
OK, so you can't really hear how she did the accent by reading these words, but it really is something. We suggest you go to the video below and click play immediately.
