Kate Moss is usually pretty elusive when it comes to her personal life – but, as an extra-special festive treat, the supermodel decided to life the lid on her Christmas plans.
And she did it via the medium of BBC Radio 6 Music’s Shaun Keaveny’s show.
Appearing on the show for the first time, the fashion icon admitted that she most definitely is “a Christmassy person” – and, after a little coaxing from Keaveny, went on to detail her perfect Christmas Day.
“I spend it in the country with my family, the whole family gathering,” she said. “Anyone’s welcome, any randoms as well. I like a random thrown in for good measure. It’s just yeah, the full-on Christmas works.”
Moss also went on to explain that she is very much involved in all the Yuletide cooking plans.
“Of course there’s an Aga, yeah,” she said, when asked. Because obviously she has an Aga, Keaveny – why would that fact ever be in doubt? However, despite having the cosy oven every single country kitchen is built around, there are some setbacks. Which Moss was all too happy to share…
“Nothing ever fits in there, it’s all a big drama,” she said. “Running backwards and forwards between houses with who’s got a bigger oven than me and we can just, potatoes are over there and turkey’s over there and yeah, fun."

The 42-year-old went on to add that she serves up her Brussels sprouts with chestnuts, bacon and a “bit of garlic” – although she admitted that the divisive green veggies are more her mum’s forte.
Moss has far more important things to worry about – like the gravy.
“Oh the gravy,” she swooned. “I am good with gravy. I’m Chief Gravy Maker.” But, when Keaveny pressed his luck and asked for her secret, he found himself shut down in a very big way.
“I don’t know if I can tell you,” she said, admitting that she hasn’t even shared the recipe with her own flesh and blood.
“[My family] don’t even know.”
If you’re wondering what music will be playing as the Moss family sits down to Christmas lunch (and, let’s face it, you aren’t a real fan if you’re not), then you’re in luck; she’s let slip that Wham’s Last Christmas is her number one festive tune to pump out over the speakers.
She said: “It was my first tape. I got it for Christmas, Wham!
“My mum bought it for me. That and Blondie. And yeah, huge. I love George Michael.”
Which is handy, as her favourite singer is now her real-life neighbour. “Dreams come true,” she said, going on to add that they often pop round one another’s houses.
“He’s got a pool, so when it’s hot I’m like ‘Oh can Lila [Moss’ daughter] come and jump in your pool?’ And he’s like ‘Yeah, come over.’ And we can actually climb from garden to garden over the walls with a ladder, we’ve done that a couple of times.”
As Keaveny pointed out, it’s almost exactly like something out of Swallows and Amazons. And it’s basically convinced us to sack off our own families and head to the Moss house this Christmas…
Fingers crossed she wasn’t joking when she said she loved having at least one random person sat at the table, eh?
