Kate Moss has taken part more nude photoshoots than most of us have eaten hot dinners - but the British supermodel has said she will now call it a day as it is embarrassing for her daughter, Lila Grace, 12.

“I don’t think my daughter wants to see me on the toilet,” Kate told The Mirror. “Lila has seen me nude. She went: ‘Yes, Mummy, there is a lot of you in those pictures.’ She saw the Playboy thing - she didn’t see the inside but she knew about the whole thing.

“There are things when I think: ‘I’m not going to do that.’ It gives you boundaries.”

Kate rose to fame during the early 90s, becoming instantly well-known as an 'anti-supermodel' due to her waifish figure and captivating face, contrasting with curvy, taller supermodels of the time such as Naomi Campbell and Elle Macpherson.

She is perhaps the most famous example of the emaciated "heroin chic" style which was so prominent during the 90s, and which played into several of her most famous photoshoots, including, most notably, her infamous Calvin Klein adverts, in which she posed in a range of iconic photos, both nude and clothed.

More recently, Kate has posed nude for countless magazine and advertising campaigns, including St Tropez, Playboy, David Yurman, Lui Magazine and Love Magazine. However, she is no stranger to a beautiful clothed photoshoot too, having appeared on the cover of Vogue no less than 30 times.

Kate's friend, the photographer Mert Alas, recently posted a previously unpublished nude of the model, so while Kate may not be producing any new nudes they might be hard for her daughter to dodge in the future.

Many of her most famous pictures have been reproduced in magazines, coffee table books and exhibitions around the world, and they have become renowned for their stylish art directing and tasteful photography, as well as Kate's inimitable elegance.

Last month, Lila Grace told the world all about how embarrassing her mum is while hosting a Q&A session on Ask.fm.

Someone asked her if she looked up to her mom as an idol, but Lila Grace replied: “No, like every mum she’s embarrassing and annoying but u love them rlly (sic)”, and revealed she would definitely not like to follow in her model footsteps, saying she'd consider being "a fashion designer,…but defo not a model (sic)."
