Kim Kardashian West and Kendall Jenner are set to appear in the new all-female Ocean’s Eight.
The reality TV mogul and her supermodel half-sister will both make cameos in the comedy heist movie, the BBC reports. The film, which is expected to hit cinemas in June 2018, already features an A-list cast including Rihanna, Cate Blanchett and Sandra Bullock.
Kardashian West and Jenner were photographed in New York earlier this week after reportedly filming their cameo scenes. The pair are expected to play attendees at a ‘fictional’ celebrity gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art (so, the Met Gala, then), when a jewel robbery takes place.
The news comes just three months after Kardashian West had more than $5.6 million-worth of jewellery stolen at gunpoint during a traumatic robbery in Paris.
The social media socialite took a break from the public eye in the immediate aftermath of the robbery, and refrained from sharing anything on Instagram for 13 weeks – although she’s now back posting photos of herself with her family and friends.
The original Ocean’s 11 was released in 1960, starring Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin, and was remade in 2001 with Brad Pitt and George Clooney.
The all-female Ocean’s Eight will be the fourth movie in the modern Ocean’s franchise, and is expected to star actors including Anne Hathaway, Mindy Kaling, Helena Bonham Carter, Katie Holmes, Dakota Fanning and Sarah Paulson.
Vogue editor (and Kardashian fan) Anna Wintour and designer Zac Posen have also recently been spotted near the Ocean’s Eight set, and are listed as cast members on the film’s IMDB page – prompting speculation that they will also make cameo appearances during the Met Gala scenes.
