Girls may not be returning to our screens until 2015, but filming is well under way, and Lena Dunham has teased fans by posting up a short trailer on Instagram.
Lena posted the teaser, which shows her falling off a bike, this afternoon from the set of Season 4 of the hit show about twentysomethings living in New York.
As she falls off the bike in the video, a camera crew gather round her, including a stunt double wearing the same clothes and helmet as her, followed by a clapperboard announcing the beginning of filming.
The video ends saying 'Girls: the new season, coming soon". It's not clear whether Lena is in character as Hannah Hovarth in the video, or whether it is an outtake from the set.
Lena later captioned the post on Twitter saying "things that go bump in the day". If the clip is part of a scene from Girls, it's possible that the new series will see Hannah Hovarth who has worked as a writer throughout the first three series of the show, branch out into film and television making - making her story resemble Lena's own life more closely.
As well as writing, directing and starring in the fourth series of Girls, Lena Dunham is also preparing for the release of her first book, Not That Kind Of Girl.
She will be touring the US East Coast in the autumn - along with a few celebrity friends - talking to fans and doing book signings in advance of the book's release in October. Lena has also promised her Twitter followers that she will announce European dates for her book tour as well - to which we say, we can't wait.
But we are happy to know that becoming an author won't hamper Lena's dedication to making Girls, as this trailer shows. Watch the teaser below:
