Lindsay Lohan has been sentenced to 30 days in jail after violating her probation on a DUI charge.
Lohan, 25, must surrender to the Lynwood Regional Justice Center in LA before 9 November to serve time, the judge said. It is the fifth time she has been sentenced to jail in the past five years.
The Mean Girls actress was not immediately ordered to jail because the court is allowing her time to complete her $1million shoot for Playboy magazine, according to celebrity website TMZ.
Lohan was recalled to court after failing to keep appointments at court-ordered therapy sessions and shifts at an LA-based homeless shelter for women.
In a hearing yesterday (2 November) Judge Stephanie Sautner said, "Miss Lohan you are going to waive your right to the hearing and admit the violation, do you understand?"
Lohan, dressed in a navy polka dot dress and Giuseppe Zanotti heels, replied, "Yes, your honour."
The star was then warned that she faced 270 days in further jail time if she failed to adhere to the court's terms, effectively "putting the keys to the jail in the defendant's hands."
In reality, it is likely Lohan will serve less than 30 days when she surrenders, due to overcrowding issues. In 2007, she spent just 84 minutes in jail before being released.
Lohan's legal troubles stem from a 2007 drink-drinking charge and subsequent probation violations.
