Lindsey Wixson has used her high-profile to make a very public objection to everyday sexism after feeling uncomfortable during a cab journey in New York.
After feeling objectified by her driver during an Uber journey in Brooklyn, Wixson screengrabbed her driver's profile and her one-star rating. She then posted it to Instagram to call him out for actions.
While the runway regular didn't explain exactly what the driver had said, she made it clear he had crossed the line.
In her impassioned post she said that the driver, whose name was Andrew, had made her “feel small in a few short seconds.”
"Paying pieces of s**t to objectify you and make you feel small in a few short seconds," she began "No sir, your insistance [sic] to make conversation and comments of no fowl play or pick up are exactly what I want to hear on my way home. I hate living here for many reasons and one of them being you! F**k men who think that you owe them your obediance [sic]. I will not be told how to act or made to be objectified!"
She also tagged Uber in the post to notify them of her bad experience with their service.
No news yet as to whether the cab app has responded.
