That’s right: Meghan – or, to use her more formal title, the Duchess of Sussex – is the inspiration behind BBC Radio 4’s upcoming 15-minute musical, which is due to air on 1 January 2019.

As reported by The Telegraph, the short musical will be a “Rodgers and Hammerstein-inspired” comedy, entitled The Sixth In Line To Be the King and I (which is, obviously, a pun on the classic musical about real-life governess to the royal children of Siam, Anna Leonowens). And, in just 15 minutes, the “inspiring” musical will run through Meghan’s life up until her royal wedding to Prince Harry, before looking “ahead to what promises to be an exciting 2019 for the happy royal couple as they expect their first child in the spring”.
