We thought nothing could top Adele’s Carpool Karaoke with James Corden on The Late, Late Show. But then FLOTUS got involved.
That’s right, Michelle Obama’s full spin with Corden is finally here, after the teaser trailer left us all gobsmacked yesterday, and it’s as great as you're likely wishing it to be.
FLOTUS rocks, and the evidence is compelling.
Explaining that she rarely (read: never) gets to sit in the front seat of a car, listening to music during a drive, the pair warm up with Stevie Wonder’s Signed, Sealed Delivered (the First Lady’s favourite), before launching into an impressive Single Ladies rendition.
Yes, with the hand flips, and yes, Obama knows every single word.
Revealing the excellent reasons behind her newly formed Snap Chat account - she’s about to embark on a trip around Liberia, Morroco and Spain with her Let Girls Learn initiative, and wants to document the whole thing in an engaging way for today’s youth - Obama and Corden then joke about how the President could use more social media tools to help diffuse future political tensions.
In particular, by sending selfies using the rainbow vomit Snap Chat filter to those he's debating a particularly tough point with, just to lighten the mood. It'd be a controversial POTUS play, of course, but Obama was keen nonetheless.
Since the whole skit was intended to help promote the track This Is For My Girls, penned by Diane Warwick to support Obama’s Let Girls Learn campaign, of course, the duo performed the number - with a little help from Missy Elliot who hitched a ride.
Inevitably, the trio ended things with a mean version of Get Ur Freak On.
Watch it all below - be warned, you’ll need to get involved.
