Michelle and Barack Obama have taken to social media to show their love for each in celebration of Valentine’s Day.

During their 8-year tenure as First Lady and President of the USA, Michelle and Barack Obama always put one thing first: love.

So it comes as no surprise that on Valentine’s Day, one of the biggest lovefests of the year, they’ve continued to show and share some love.

Taking to Twitter, Michelle declared her love for Barack by in a beautifully old school way in the form of a playlist she’d put together.

“Happy Valentine’s Day to my one and only, Barack. To celebrate the occasion, I’m dedicating a little Valentine’s Day playlist to you!,” Michelle posted.

And, of course, the playlist, entitled Forever Mine: Michelle to Barack, is an absolute treat. Featuring 44 songs (a reference to Obama being the 44th president of the USA, perhaps?) it’s filled with classic love songs like At Last by Etta James and Diana Ross’ Endless Love.

The pair, who’ve been together for 25 years, have always made it known that they love modern music. Which is why the playlist also includes the likes of Beyoncé, John Legend, Alicia Keys, Rihanna, Bruno Mars and Janelle Monáe.

Returning the love, Barack made the sweetest declaration on Twitter.

“Happy Valentine’s Day, Michelle. You make every day and every place better,” Barack wrote, alongside a photo of the pair hugging on holiday.

Just last month, Barack surprised Michelle on her 54th birthday by delivering a beautiful bouquet of flowers to her office.

In an Instagram post, Michelle thanked her husband by calling him her “best friend and biggest fan” and noted that “getting notes and flowers” from him “would never get old”.
