The video for Rihanna’s latest single, BBHMM, has been at the centre of a social media storm since its release earlier this month, with some arguing that the video is misogynistic and others hitting back at such comments and celebrating the power of a black woman being in control.
Today, in an unexpected twist, a certain porcine character has recreated the video to her own ends.
That’s right, none other than Miss Piggy (41) has just dropped her own version of the BBHMM video.
Miss Piggy is known for having her trotters in several different troughs at all time, but this is her first foray into the world of music videos.
In the past, the multi-talented pink beauty has starred in movies, modelled for MAC make-up, published her own memoir and hosted the BAFTAs.
The film star, who is also known for her fashion prowess, was married to her long-term beau, Kermit the Frog, last year.
The music video, entitled Good Pig Gone Bad directed by infamous Muppet director, Spike Gonze (no relation of director, Spike Jonze) , shows Miss Piggy singing and dancing and wiggling her curvaceous snouth in a series of fabulous outfits. It doesn’t feature the bloody violence of Rhianna’s original video, but viewers may find some scenes disturbing (Spoiler: Kermit gets into a spot of bother.)
There is also a cameo from Mylo the cat.
