Why everyone is rushing to buy this unusual Oasis dress before it sells out

Oasis has given us plenty of high-street fashion heroes over the years – but it seems as if this one dress is the ultimate must-have for autumn/winter 2017.

If you’re anything like us, you probably spend a lot of time shopping for functional – yet chic – workwear. And, honestly, we’re not asking for much: we just want a few office staples that are low effort, high style, and, y’know, not so expensive that we can’t afford rent that month.

Enter Oasis.

The store has always prided itself on selling key pieces that tap into catwalk trends, and this season is no different: think velvet, corduroy, satin, silk and – above all else – leather.

So, when the store brought out a leather pinafore (ideal for winter layering), it was bound to catch the eyes of more than a few people. However, when one of those people is This Morning’s Holly Willoughby, you’re guaranteed a sellout.

The TV star shared a photo of herself on Instagram earlier this morning, with her pinafore teamed with a simple white roll-neck jumper, opaque tights and a chic pair of Kurt Geiger boots. And it wasn’t long before the likes and comments were flooding in…

“I want this outfit,” said one fan.

“Nothing classier than monochrome,” noted another.

And one more raved: “This is a total queen outfit!”

Considering the dress would look just as great with a pair of strappy heels on a night out, we reckon it’s a good investment piece. However, as you may have guessed, plenty of Willoughby’s followers had the exact same idea: the piece – which is available for £120 on the Oasis website – is selling out incredibly fast.

However, while it is only available in limited size options online, the dress is still available in stores around the country. So, if you fancy a trip to the shops IRL, this might be the item to grab and stash in your basket.

We’ll see you at the checkouts.
