Prince Harry and his 25-year-old girlfriend Cressida Bonas have broken up, just weeks after the pair appeared in public together for the first time amid rumours of an engagement.
The couple ended their two-year relationship after struggling to deal with the pressure of being in the spotlight, sources close to Prince Harry confirmed.
"It's very sad that they have decided to split but this is a completely amicable separation and they are remaining the very best of friends," a friend of the couple told the Telegraph.

Harry, 29, appeared for the first time in public with Leeds university graduate Cressida at a youth charity event at Wembley Arena in March. The duo attended an England Vs Wales rugby match at Twickenham together two days later, and seemed happy and relaxed as photographers zoomed in on their box.
The pair had gone out of their way to avoid being photographed together before and their joint appearance timed so closely together triggered speculation that they were paving the way for an engagement, with Harry reportedly set to introduce Cressida to his grandmother the Queen at Balmoral this summer.
But that's now on ice, with friends suggesting Cressida is taking time out to focus on her theatre marketing job.
"This gives Cressida the opportunity to focus on her career," a source said.

Cressida studied dance at university and now works at a firm in Soho. Her family have links to the royal family (her half-sister Isabella Calthorpe was romantically linked to Prince William back in the day, before marrying Virgin heir Sam Branson). She's long been part of Princess Eugenie's social circle, and it's Harry's cousin who is believed to have introduced the pair and played match-maker in their relationship.
"I’m not so much searching for someone to fulfill the role, but obviously, you know, finding someone that would be willing to take it on," Prince Harry said of his search for a girlfriend willing to deal with media attention, in an interview with a US television channel in 2012. He had been single for three years at that point, having split from long-term girlfriend Chelsy Davy in 2009.
Cressida is said to have owned a security pass for Kensington Palace, Prince Harry's official London base, during the time of their relationship, although she lived with friends in Shepherd's Bush.
However, it may not all be over for the pair, with some friends suggesting they are "pausing for a breather" - and may revive their relationship after a short time out, in the same way that Kate Middleton and Prince William split for a short while before they became engaged.
