The Stylist office is abuzz today with news that much-loved Britpop band Pulp have reformed. Even better, they’ve announced reunion concerts next year.

Since disbanding, singer and geek chic icon Jarvis Cocker has stayed on the radar with DJ stints on 6 Music, ventures into acting and art curating, plus two solo albums. But this news is the most exciting pop reunion since Robbie Williams rejoined Take That.

The six original members, led by Jarvis, will headline London's Hyde Park on 3 July as part of the Wireless Festival. Less handily, but no less excitingly, they'll also top the bill at Spain's Primavera Sound event on 27 May. The gigs will be their first in 15 years.

The Sheffield band have confirmed: "The shows will involve all the original members of the band (Nick Banks, Jarvis Cocker, Candida Doyle, Steve Mackey, Russell Senior and Mark Webber) and they will play songs from all periods of their career. Yes, they'll be playing your favourites."

That means classic hits like Common People, Disco 2000, Sorted For Es & Whizz, Mis-Shapes, Help The Aged, Do You Remember The First Time? and Stylist stereo favourite Babies.

Priced at £48.50 plus booking fee, tickets for Pulp’s London gig go on sale at 9am this Thursday 11 November (or Wednesday if you're a Barclaycard holder). Be poised to jam the switchboard. We know we will be. We remember the first time.
