Along with demonstrating great vocal ability, the tennis player also spoke of the importance of regularly carrying out self-checks on our boobs.

“This Breast Cancer Awareness Month I’ve recorded a version of Divinyls global hit I Touch Myself to remind women to self-check regularly,” Williams wrote on Instagram. “Yes, this put me out of my comfort zone, but I wanted to do it because it’s an issue that affects all women of all colours, all around the world. Early detection is key – it saves so many lives. I just hope this helps to remind women of that.”

The powerful video is part of the I Touch Myself Project which was created in honour of Chrissy Amphlett (frontwoman of Divinyls), who sadly passed away from the illness.

According to the NHS, breast cancer is the most common type of cancer in the UK which is why the NHS Breast Screening Programme has produced a 5-point plan for being breast aware:

know what’s normal for you
look at your breasts and feel them
know what changes to look for
report any changes without delay
attend routine screening if you’re 50 or over
