Other than a couple of sneaky TV appearances and a one-off Hyde Park gig, the UK hasn’t been able to appreciate the musical glory that is Shania Twain live for 14 years.
But all that has changed. It’s time to ready your top hats and leopard-print: the five-time Grammy winner has just announced a 2018 UK and Ireland tour.

This year marked the 20th anniversary of Twain’s third album, 1997’s hugely successful Come on Over, which included Man! I Feel Like A Woman, You’re Still The One, From This Moment On and That Don’t Impress Me Much (you’d forgotten how many there were, right?).
The last time the star toured the UK was promoting 2002 album Up! in 2004, making her 2018 tour the first in 14 years.
Twain took a long break due to illness in the Noughties, attributing problems with her vocal cords to Lyme Disease, but she quietly raked in a reported £22 million last year to claim her place as the ninth highest-paid female singer in the world – probably thanks to the golden egg of a Las Vegas residency, a 2015 tour and the fact that we still can’t get enough of her country hits.
