The latest singer to join James Corden in his Carpool Karaoke is Australian singer and songwriter, Sia, 40, and we think it’s our favourite one yet.

And that’s saying something, after Adele’s appearance.

For his Late Late Show, Corden invites celebrities to join him on a drive, whilst they sit in the passenger seat and sing along to their own songs and the songs of others. He has seen recent appearances from the likes of Stevie Wonder, Chris Martin and Justin Bieber.

Wearing a giant monochrome wig that covers her entire face apart from her mouth, and an enormous black bow, Sia joins Corden in his car to belt out some of her classics, teach him some singing tips, and reveal her thoughts on celebrity and…alien life forms.

Along with singing a slew of chart-topping hits, Sia has written songs for the likes of Rihanna, Beyoncé, Christina Aguilera and Britney Spears – to name only a few.

Whilst singing along to her biggest hits with the incredibly powerful voice that shot her to fame - including Chandelier, Elastic Heart and Titanium - Corden quizzes Sia on the reason she opts for a disguise.

“I don’t wear this unless there’s cameras around.,” she says. “I only wear this to maintain a modicum of privacy.”

Sia then opens up about the early days of her career, when she became an alcoholic and a drug addict, saying:

“I sobered up and decided I didn’t want to be an artist anymore because I started to get a little bit famous and it was destabilising in some way.”

Having quit singing in 2010 after the release of her album We Are Born, Sia decided to return with a disguise – those lego-style wigs – saying:

“I thought what doesn’t exist in pop music at the moment? And it was mystery.”

Ever since then, Sia has donned a disguise for large public appearances, saying it provides something a little different in today’s selfie society:

“There’s pictures on Instagram of everyone at the dentist,” she says.

Late in the clip, Corden probes Sia about her belief in extra-terrestrial beings (proving the in-depth research conducted by his producers), which the singer admits, explaining what led her to believe:

“I only believe in them [aliens] because I watched a video of the ex-anadian minister of defence saying plainly that he knows for a fact that the American government are working with 5 different alien races,” she says.

“My blood ran cold. That guy is the ex-Canadian minister of defence! He’s not just some guy on YouTube,” she explains.

And if anyone’s watched the latest series of the X-Files, they might be on her side…
