Nikki Haley has been named by President-elect Donald Trump as his choice for ambassador to the United Nations.  At 44, Haley is the youngest governor in the US, representing South Carolina. She is also the first woman of colour to be appointed to a cabinet-level position in the incoming Trump administration: she was born Nimrata Randhawa in Bamberg, South Carolina, to Indian immigrant parents.
