Taylor Swift to sue over ‘topless’ photo

Country singing sensation Taylor Swift is planning to sue a celebrity website that published a semi-nude photo of a woman they claimed was her.

According to a report on TMZ, Swift's legal team has contacted the Celebrity Jihad website and threatened a lawsuit over the "false pornographic images." They also demanded that the photo be removed.

Celebrity Jihad posted the photo of a semi-nude woman under the title, "Taylor Swift Topless Private Pic Leaked?"

The site earlier told TMZ it was considering its options in light of potential legal action. But in an article posted today (31 October), it did not appear to be taking the threat too seriously.

"We here at Celeb Jihad have decided to be the bigger man, and compromise with Taylor Swift in regards to our topless picture article that she is so upset about," it said. "We will remove the article if Taylor Swift simply agrees to convert to Islam, To convert to Islam, Taylor Swift must publicly renounce her Jew God Jesus, and accept Allah as her lord and master. She must then sacrifice a goat and devour its entrails. Pretty standard stuff really."

Swift, 21, is one of the most successful artists of her generation, with an estimated wealth of $45 million and over 20 million album sales to date.

She is the latest in a slew of celebrities to be targeted in apparent nude photo scandals. Scarlett Johansson, Mila Kunis and Blake Lively have also suffered after alleged naked photos of them appeared online in recent months.
