Before: Tulisa
Back in 2010, Tulisa was most famous for her lead vocals in band N-Dubz. Born and bred in Camden, the singer celebrated her roots with a distinctly urban look
After: Tulisa
The X-Factor judge soon traded in her blonde locks for a darker, glamorous look. And why not? The singer had lots to celebrate after her act Little Mix won the annual talent contest
Before: Leann Rimes
The Can't Fight the Moonlight songstress sported a neat fringe and wholesome girl-next-door image back in 2010. Here she is pictured at the Academy of Country Music awards in a neat pencil dress
After: Leann Rimes
Following her marriage to Eddie Cibrian, Leann revamped her image with a more fashion-conscious wardrobe and embraced the Ombre hair trend
Before: Peaches Geldof
In 2010, Peaches Geldof was the definitive girl-about-town. With a deep tan and bohemian accessories, the socialite was rarely seen without her movie-making beau Eli Roth.
After: Peaches Geldof
Fast-forward a year and Peaches took a more adult approach to her fashion. Pictured here wearing a body-con Herve Leger dress, the young starlet became a huge presence on the front-row during London Fashion Week
Before: Cher Lloyd
Cher Lloyd was catapulted to fame on The X-Factor 2010, with her rendition of Keri Hilson's 'Turn My Swag On' quickly becoming a YouTube sensation. Critics often cited a striking similarity between her style and that of her mentor Cheryl Cole
After: Cher Lloyd
But with the release of her solo album Sticks & Stones the following year, Cher forged her own way in terms of her fashion. With a sleek new bob and toned-down wardrobe, the singer became one of the breakout stars of 2011 with her song 'With Your Love'
Before: Nicola Roberts
As one fifth of Girls Aloud, Nicola Roberts' style was a tried-and-tested formula: statement dress, killer heels and voluminous hair
After: Nicola Roberts
In 2011, however, the starlet forged her own path with a newly-dip-dyed mane and wearing some of London's most creative young designers
Before: Cheryl Cole
For Cheryl Cole, 2011 also signalled a year of change and transformation. The X-Factor judge caused a minor sensation with her red locks up and down the country, with hairdressers reporting a huge rise in customers asking for 'The Cheryl'
Before: Cher Lloyd
But following an unsuccessful move to the States, Cheryl chopped and changed to a cuter blonde bob. Here she's pictured at the Pride of Britain awards in October, with a tousled look and in a pink Victoria Beckham dress
Before: Evan Rachel Wood
Dating goth rocker Marilyn Manson was always going to rub off on Evan Rachel Wood and the actress maintained the look throughout 2010 with dramatic eye makeup and gowns on the red carpet
After: Evan Rachel Wood
The Ides of March star soon went for the chop in 2011, however, with a pixie-like 'do and quirky new wardrobe
Before: Katy Perry
The Mistress of Reinvention, Katy Perry started off the year as a newly-married brunette, oozing old Hollywood glamour on the red carpet in this shimmering fishtail gown
After: Katy Perry
Following unfounded rumours of a marriage breakdown, Perry emerged defiant with a new baby pink-tinged crop and wearing Versace for H&M on the red carpet, with husband Russell Brand
Before: Madonna
When working the promotion circuit for her eleventh studio album, Hard Candy, Madonna opted for graphic prints and thigh skimming boots...
After: Madonna
...but a year on, the icon's style had taken on a distinctly forties flavour, following her directorial debut in W.E - a biopic loosely based on Wallis Simpson's life
Before: Nicki Minaj
The self-styled 'Barbie of Hip-Hop', Nicki Minaj hit headlines earlier this year for her fuschia hairdo as much as for her music
After: Nicki Minaj
But later in the year, the Superbass singer toned down her look with Rapunzel-style tresses and a bold graphic print dress
Before: Pixie Lott
Pixie Lott emerged in the music industry with a soft, bohemian look - complete with a shaggy blonde hair do
Before: Pixie Lott
In 2011 the star amped up her music with her second album Young Foolish Happy - which featured hit single 'All About Tonight'. As part of the launch of the album, Pixie had a dramatic image makeover with a shorter cut and a preppier style
Before: Diana Agron
Just like her character in Glee, Diana Agron's sartorial style was inspired by the classic all American girl, with her wholesome dresses and pretty understated accessories
After: Diana Agron
Diana embraced a sexier image in 2011, however, following a new boyfriend, her first feature part in a film - I am Number Four - and Glee's ever increasing fame
Before: Kristen Stewart
Kristen Stewart's trademark look on the red carpet was often a simple little dress, complimented by her choppy black hair and a killer pair of heels
After: Kristen Stewart
Following the release of a further 2 movies from the Twilight franchise, the young actress soon found her niche when it came to glamorous red carpet dressing - pictured here in a red Proenza Schouler gown at the Costume Institute Gala
Before: Rooney Mara
Rooney Mara's simple yet approachable style, prior to playing Lisbeth Salander in The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, rarely strayed into the overly experimental
After: Rooney Mara
But after landing one of Hollywood's most coveted roles, Rooney embraced her fictional character's style with dark Gothic lips and a razor sharp fringe
Before: Chloe Sevigny
She may be a frequent face on the red carpet, but Chloe Sevigny's style is far less consistent. She started the year as a sunkissed blonde, working the red carpet at Louis Vuitton in a simple checked mini-dress
After: Chloe Sevigny
A year later and the actress has gone for a darker look, complete with a dramatic monochrome outfit to highlight her pale skin and newly-dyed hair
