A new series of posters for the film version of Gone Girl has revealed more of what we can expect from the adaptation of Gillian Flynn's thriller.
The images depict bags of evidence taken from Nick and Amy's house, including a picture of the happy couple on their wedding day. There's also a more ominous-looking piece of paper, which appears to be torn from Amy's diary, with the words "this man may kill me".
Incidentally, the images were released on July 5, which coincides with the anniversary of the protagonists, Nick and Amy. A nice touch, don't you think?
For anyone who didn't get the chance to read the international best-seller, the novel is about a young couple, Nick and Amy Dunne, and their first years of marriage.
Nick has recently been made redundant so the couple decide to move back to Nick's hometown, where he sets up a bar using some of the wealthy Amy's money. But all is not well in the marriage, and Amy hates where they now live.
Things then take a turn for the worse when Amy suddenly disappears on their fifth wedding anniversary, with Nick being the prime suspect.
The big-screen adaptation of the novel is being directed by David Fincher (House of Cards), and stars Ben Affleck as Nick and Rosamund Pike as Amy.
But if you're anything like us and you can't wait for the film to get here already, there's good news as a brand new trailer is on its way today, although you can watch the old one below.
