This is certainly true of travel and lifestyle photojournalist and yoga expert, Sjana Earp, who has shared an empowering message about being a woman with her 1.2 million followers.
The post, accompanied by a snap of the Australian Instagram star sitting naked on the beach, began with a quote from the poet Michael E. Reid.
"Dear Woman, sometimes you’ll just be too much woman. Too smart, too beautiful, too strong. Too much of something that makes a man feel like less of a man, which will start making you feel like you have to be less of a woman.
"The biggest mistake you can make is removing jewels from your crown to make it easier for a man to carry. When this happens, I need you to understand, you do not need a smaller crown - you need a man with bigger hands."
Explaining that she had spotted the quote after it was shared by one of her friends, Earp went on to describe how she wanted to repost it for any female who was "belittled, silenced or been made to feel insignificant by a male (or female!)"

The 21-year-old continued, "This is for any female who has ever tried to alter themselves to be 'liked' by others. This is for any female who has ever felt self conscious, insecure or ashamed because of the way a man has treated her, looked at her or spoke to her."
She also had wise words to share for those who feel pressured to "dim their own light".
"This is for the women who don't think they are good enough or are stuck in an unhappy relationship," she wrote. "This is for any female who believes she has to conform to societal norms. This is for any female who has ever dimmed her own light, in order to let someone else's shine brighter.
"This is for women."
