Kim Cattrall has crushed our cosmopolitan-sipping, Manolo-Blahnik-wearing dreams by speaking out on the unlikeliness of a third Sex and the City film ever being in the works.

The 59-year-old actress, who played vivacious PR pro Samantha Jones throughout the groundbreaking TV series, cited the struggling state of our economy as the main reason why a third film of the series was unlikely to be created.

“I think the climate changed," she told the Daily Record.

"To have four women talking about shopping trips and spending $400 on shoes when people are having trouble putting food on the table? It doesn’t mean we don’t need that but I think the pendulum swung in a different direction."
