Victoria Beckham reveals the £7 beauty product she can’t live without

We all know the drill: when it comes to our evening skincare regime, we need to cleanse, tone and moisturise – without fail. But, sometimes, spending a good 20 minutes or so at the bathroom sink isn’t all that appealing (especially if it’s late and we’re a little worse for wear): on nights such as these, we prefer to shun our regular beauty products in favour of the humble wet wipe, aka the ultimate beauty shortcut.

And it seems as if we’re not alone: Victoria Beckham recently shared some budget beauty favourites with cult beauty website, Into the Gloss – and the fashion designer has revealed that she, too, is a big fan of removing make-up with a face wipe. But not any old packet, oh no: VB always sticks to one tried-and-tested high street hero.

That’s right: while Beckham makes no secret of her love for Burberry Beauty’s Fresh Glow Luminous Fluid Foundation (£42.15), Crème de la Mer Mosturizing Soft Lotion (£115) and Sarah Chapman’s Stem Cell Collagen Activator (£200), she spends less than £8 on her favourite face wipes.

“The only face wipes that actually take off all my makeup are the Bioderma ones,” says Beckham, adding that they “really get everything off”.

She is, of course, referring to Bioderma’s Sensibio H20 wipes, which retail at £7.10 in most UK high street stores. But why are they so special?

Well, the wipes are infused with micellar solution, which cleanses the skin with fatty acid esters that are similar to the phospholipids of the skin cell membranes – and helps shift even the most stubborn of mascaras.

And, better still, the super-gentle formula is ideal for calming the sort of sensitive skin that is nearly always reactive to cheaper, non-natural brands of face wipes.

Yes, Beckham often follows up with a cleanser – and no, she doesn’t use them every single night. But, all in all, they’re the ideal on-the-go option for speedy cleansing – and if they’re good enough for VB, they’re definitely good enough for us.

See you at the checkouts, yeah?
