The castle, which is located in Newbury, Highclere, has reached global fame since becoming the fictional home to the Crawley family on the hit historical drama Downton Abbey. For six seasons (and now 2019’s feature-length film), we’ve admired the grand, winding staircase, impossibly high ceilings and grandiose décor with awe. But although you can visit Highclere Castle for the day, it’s been impossible to stay the night in the main house and live out your Downton Abbey fantasies for real.
